NARCOTICS:
Yes, certain areas do stand out as high. The data is broken down by shipments of Oxycodone, Hydrocodone, and Methadone. Note, hydrocodone has the highest shipment of narcotics between 2006 to 07. The cities with the highest shipments per drug (dosage units per capita – for 2007) include the following:
1. Oxycodone: Payson, American Fork, Springville, Spanish Fork, Orem, and Provo
2. Hydrocodone: Payson, American Fork, Springville, Orem, and Provo
3. Methadone: Payson, American Fork (tied w/ Payson), Springville, Spanish Fork, Orem, and Provo
INTERESTING NOTE: the same cities appear high on each narcotic (Payson, American Fork, Springville, SF)

2. What does the trend data available for the consumption suggest in the different geographic areas? Is the problem increasing, decreasing, or staying the same? Discuss differences and patterns.

NARCOTIC
In terms of the entire county – from 2006 to 2007, Oxycodone increased, Hydrocodone Decreased, and Methadone stayed about the same.
Geographical highlights:
1. Top five cities increased oxycodone units per capita - Payson, American Fork, Springville, Spanish Fork, Orem, and Provo. Payson had the greatest increase (from 38 to 46 units per capita) and they are the only city that consumed more oxycodone than hydrocodone.

3. Do the consumption in some geographic areas appear to be more of a problem than in others? Why?

NARCOTICS: Not sure, this data measures shipments into cities NOT to individuals living in those cities. That being said certain cities surface across numerous consequence data those cities are:
• Payson, American Fork, Springville, and Spanish Fork.

4. Are there differences in patterns of consumption between age groups?

NARCOTICS: NO DATA AVAILABLE

5. Are there differences in patters of consumption between gender?

NARCOTICS: NO DATA AVAILABLE

6. Are there differences in patterns of consumption between age and gender and location?
